Myofascial Release Workshop
What is Myofascial Release Therapy? Myofascial release therapy is used to manage myofascial pain. “Myo” means muscle. “Fascial” refers to the connective tissue that covers and supports the muscles throughout your entire body. During myofascial release therapy, the focus is not specifically on your muscles. The focus is on rehydrating your connective tissue and getting oxygen to your muscles.
Why should I care about tissue hydration? Flexibility, elasticity, and adaptability of tissues all require hydration. Fascial (connective tissue) components depend on water for structural integrity, protection from physical trauma, and for mechanical functioning.
Who will benefit from Myofascial Release Therapy? This practice helps anyone looking for increased range of motion, ease of movement, and those with muscle fatigue and soreness.
