Libraries have popped into my life at all the best times. Many moons ago, I created the first library at my primary school in Sussex, England. When I took my gap year, I helped out in a library on Long Island, NY. My most productive study place for my degree (English Literature) was always done at a “secret library” that I found in Edinburgh, Scotland. Unsurprisingly therefore, when I volunteered at my children’s elementary school in Indiana, it was usually in the library.

As you can see, I’ve moved around a bit. And I’m thrilled to now call Cedarburg my home, and welcome yet another library into my life. I look forward to meeting more folk in this wonderful community and hearing what it is you like best about Cedarburg Public Library.

When not working, you can find me walking downtown and meeting up with friends at Cedarburg coffee shops, painting pet portraits in my basement studio, attending school and sporting events with my boys, and, of course, curled up on the couch with a good book, a cup of (English) tea, and a cat.
