Zinio offers access to over 165 popular magazines. Cedarburg library cardholders have unlimited multi-user access to complete digital magazines which can be viewed on most Internet-eabled devices such as a tablet, smart phone or PC. Just some of the titles available are The Economist, Newsweek, Runner’s World, and Food Network. Check out our list of titles for you to enjoy. To access the collection and start downloading, cardholders will need to create accounts using their Cedarburg library card barcode number and an eMail address.

eSequelslists the most popular fiction series in correct reading order ! Enter Library Card Barcode, & click Submit; then, choose one of the searches listed by clicking on it.  There are indexes for character, location and subject, as well as author and title so you can identify a series that you may recall only vaguely. Brief annotations describe each title. eSequels is a great “Reader’s Advisory” [suggesting titles to a reader] website – to help you find the titles and information about your favorite fiction series. All information on the webiste is contributed by users. Notorious Lives contains more than 600 essays focusing on people considered “notorious.” The definition of that term ranges from controversial to extremely negative, and extends from ancient times to the present. The information focuses on the individual’s role in historical events and impact on society, not on glorifying that person.

Science Reference Center® contains full text for hundreds of science encyclopedias, reference books, periodicals, and other sources. Topics covered include: biology, chemistry, earth & space science, environmental science, health & medicine, history of science, life science, physics, science & society, science as inquiry, scientists, technology and wildlife.

In the upper left-hand corner, click HELP. On the left-hand sidebar, scroll down to see help topics. Main headings are Welcome, Translation, Searching, Browsing, Personalization, Saving Searches & Alerts, Viewing Results, Using Folders, Print/eMail/Save, Glossary & Stop Words, Citation Styles, & User Profile Help. For example, to learn how to save your searches to your own personal account in Science Reference Center, click Saving Searches & Alerts, and then under this heading, click “Saving Searches.”

How to use ‘Help Icons’ while searching Science Reference Center:

  • When the Help icon  appears, you can click the icon to view help for the screen you are on.
  • To obtain help for the database(s) you are searching, click the Help icon to the right of the Find field and click on the Database name at the bottom of the left-hand side of the Help window. Database help is also available from the Choose Databases window.

If you discover an item in WISCAT that is not owned in Eastern Shores Library System and you would like to request it, please contact your library’s Interlibrary Loan Department for help in obtaining the item.
